Teams at Realty Concepts
Realty Concepts Team Structures & Expectations
At Realty Concepts, we believe in empowering agents to grow their businesses in the ways that best fit their goals. Whether you’re building a formal Team or forming a Long-Term Partnership, we’re here to provide the structure, resources, and guidance to help you thrive.
Team vs. Partnership: What’s the Difference?
Teams are structured leadership groups consisting of at least one Team Lead and at least one Junior Team Member. This setup includes formal oversight, training, and a modified commission cap structure to support mentorship and growth.
Partnerships, on the other hand, are collaborative working relationships between two or more agents that don’t meet the requirements of a formal team. These can be ongoing or limited to specific transactions and are less formal in structure.
Building an RC Team: Step-by-Step
Thinking about starting a team? Here’s what to expect:
-
Sales Manager Review: Schedule a meeting with your Sales Manager, and talk through your plans, review expectations, and get the green light to move forward.
-
Broker Approval: Only licensed agents with Broker approval can serve as a Team Lead. This must be secured before any other steps are taken.
-
Onboarding with Business Development: Once approved, connect with Madi Kennedy (madi@realtyconcepts.com) to walk through the onboarding process and get everything set up for a successful launch.
Team Guidelines & Expectations
Being a Team Lead is both an honor and a responsibility. Here are some important rules to keep in mind:
-
Recruiting: Team Leads cannot recruit existing Realty Concepts agents (active or LFRO) without prior Broker approval—this must be obtained before any offer is made. Please reach out to your sales manager to start this discussion.
-
Referral Compensation: Team Leads are not eligible to receive RC Lifetime Referral Dividends for Junior Team Members they bring on.
-
Oversight & Accountability: Team Leads are fully responsible for the management and support of their team members, including transaction oversight, training and coaching, accountability, and completing the CAR Team Agreement. Realty Concepts Sales Managers will be your direct contact, but Junior Team Members will look to you as their primary resource.
-
Technology Requirements: The standard myRC BoldTrail platform is designed for individual agents. If you're forming a team, you’ll need to upgrade to ensure proper lead management and collaboration. Choose either the BoldTrail Team Add-On (est. $399/month) or an alternative CRM that’s designed for teams specifically.
-
Team Name Requirements: Team names must follow California real estate law. Please take a moment to review the state’s guidelines here.
