Referral Only (LFRO) Agent
Referral Only (LFRO) Agent
What is a LFRO agent?
An LFRO (Referral Only) agent is someone who focuses only on referring clients to the Broker. They don’t handle tasks like listing, selling, leasing, or managing properties. Instead, they pass along leads and earn referral fees when those deals close. You’ll still need to keep your real estate license active, but you won’t be a member of NAR, the local REALTOR® Association, or use the MLS.
What are the benefits to you?
As an LFRO agent with Realty Concepts II, you don’t have to worry about paying Board dues, MLS fees, or any Realty Concepts fees, but you can still earn a commission on referrals you send our way. All you have to do is share the contact info of someone interested in buying or selling a property, and we’ll handle everything from there.
We’ll work with you to match you up with a Designated Recipient Agent. That agent will pay you a 25% referral fee on any business that comes from your leads. You’ll get 20% of that 25% referral fee, and Realty Concepts will keep 5%. Plus, you’ll always be on an 80% split with us.
Do LFRO agents receive a Realty Concepts email?
Nope! We’ll keep things simple and communicate with you through your personal email. However, if you’d like a Realty Concepts email, you can get one for $10/month, billed to your credit card.
Should I expect any monthly or annual fees as an LFRO agent?
- Monthly: no myRC membership fees to worry about
- Annual: There’s a $76 fee each October for the California Business License Reimbursement.
How do I become a referral agent?
It’s easy! Just shoot an email to jenelle@realtyconcepts.com, and she’ll reach out to chat about the transition and get you set up with a new Independent Contractor Agreement.
